Adventures in Church Planting

This is a story that the Fermanagh Herald ran on our Church towards the end of last year relating to our Coke can giveaway.

  • Moving Forward

Good morning from the rather overcast Irish Rainforest, otherwise known as Enniskillen.  It really is a beautiful place to live, bring up family, and minister.  The surrounding area is so lush and green.  It’s easy to see why Ireland is referred to as the Emerald Isle when you live in Enniskillen and Fermanagh.  If you have been following my posts you’ll know that we planted The Lakes Vineyard Church in September 2012.  Initially we began with a small group which still meets in our home. Slowly we began doing outreach in the community by giving away cans of Coke/Pepsi in the Town centre.  This then led to us being involved with Churches Together (a group of, currently, 5 churches) doing Healing on the Streets once a month in the Town.  Well its now time for a whole new set of challenges.  We have had two Sunday morning services which have went very well.  The next step is launching to Sunday services each Sunday.  This step begins this coming Sunday.  Its all very exciting, but also very challenging.  We believe that this is what God is doing and we always want to follow his lead.  We had one person commit their life to Jesus this past Sunday and we pray that this is a sign of things to come.
